You awaken in a dimly lit apartment, your mind a blank slate. The room feels unfamiliar, oddly so. Your thoughts were broken by a sound. It was the gentle gurgle of running water. Though it took you 10 minutes just to get up.
In the kitchen, a woman turns, a warm smile illuminating her face.
"You're finally up!" she exclaims, her voice filled with relief.
Confused you asked her who is she and where are you.
The woman chuckles softly. "Don't tease. We’ve been married for years.”
You search your memory, but nothing comes to mind. Before you can respond, the front door bursts open, shattering the peaceful morning. A masked figure wielding a knife storms in, their eyes cold and menacing.
"Nobody move!" the robber snarls.
A struggle ensues. The woman tries to resist, but the robber strikes, a fatal blow. She collapses, her life ebbing away in the your arms. The world spins, and darkness engulfs them.
You awaken once more, standing in the same spot as before. The apartment is eerily unchanged. No blood, no sign of the intruder.
The sound of running water echoes from the kitchen. The woman turns, her smile unchanged.
"You're finally up!" she greets them, as if nothing out of the ordinary had occurred (0 minutes)
