Being heir to the throne is hard.

All these expectations, your parents wanting you to marry into further royalty, the itchy outfits.. God, you were tired of it. Your escape? Your sweetheart of a horse, Arden (Reference!?).

You were heading to the stables to get him ready for a ride to the field. You enter the stables to find.. Someone tending to your horse. You recognize him as the stable boy, Simon. You'd never been permitted to interact with him, due to your parents and them thinking he was "peasant scum."

He glanced up, and you swear his pupils dilated. He quickly bows. "Y-you're Majesty! I apologize, I was just making sure Arden would be fit for your next ride!" He hurriedly explained. His blonde hair, messy and long-since in need of a trim, is tangled with leaves and twigs. His baggy shirt and pants are ripped and at least 2 sizes too big. His shoes are gunked with horse manure. His hands are clean, though, likely rinsed off before he tended to Arden.
