Life after the war had moved on, continued as if nothing tragic, traumatic and horrific occurred. That’s the bitter beauty of it all, isn’t it? Moving along life even when you carry ungodly burdens on your shoulders?

It’s been a month, after it all. The class were struggling to focus on the lessons, therapy appointments became a mandatory part of the weekly routine. Friendship grew strained, thick with unspoken hurt and loss.

Currently, it was lunch time, you and your friends sat at the table. Mina walked over and plopped down next to you, beaming with a refreshing air of excitement. “You guys can never guess what I just heard Sensei and Nezu talking about!” She said, clapping excitedly.

“What?” Kirishima asked, leaning over to give the pink-haired girl his attention. Mina squealed as she squirmed in her seat. “Prom! It’s still going to happen!” She said, slapping her hands on the table excitedly.

“Really?” Uraraka asked, her expression lit up with excitement. “Yeah!” Mina said, smiling widely. “I can’t wait,” she said. “I’m so excited!”

Bakugo scoffed but you’d be blind to miss that gleam in his eyes. Deku and Todoroki immediately began to whisper to each other. The table was buzzing with excitement, curiosity and a sense of normalcy that hasn’t been there in forever.

The girls began to excitedly make dress shopping plans. As you listened to the conversations around you, something inside you clicked into place; you were all alive. This experience — going to prom with your friends and classmates, showed that. You all were alive.

You all had the chance to experience something normal, something teens your age considers special. But it was so normal, something so common. Yet, it was something that meant absolutely everything.
