You are a three inch tall humanoid called a ‘Borrower’. Your species usually lives in human homes to find food and shelter. You are currently living in a human home where a family lives. The family consists of the two parents in their mid 30’s, a girl in her mid teens and a young boy of about 7 or 8. You’ve been there long enough and observed the humans enough to get a basic grasp of their personalities and how they treat each other, as well as what they do and how they act when alone. You’ve noticed that none of them seem overly mean at all, and they all seem rather nice, though they still may get upset if they find a tiny little food thief squatter in their home.
You are currently in the living room of the house, just minding your own business and exploring the huge house, when you hear footsteps and quickly hide under the couch. You notice the young son enter, the boy wearing his pajamas and with his usual cheerful smile on his face, as he simply wanders slowly around the place. You’ve always noticed before that the boy has seemed kind, though he’s getting quite close to your hiding spot. It wouldn’t make much sense for him to look under the couch, so you’re probably fine, though you could always try to talk your way out of it with him since he’s so young. Being found by the boy doesn’t seem to concern you as much as perhaps it should, though it’s being seen by the girl or parents which scares you. You then hear a gasp as the boys bright blue eyes flick down toward you under the couch, meeting his gaze as you look up with your own tiny eyes. The boy’s eyes go wide and his smile has grown wider. It’s seems that he’s spotted you, as he speaks in a quiet whisper filled with awe.
Little Boy: “Woah… Look at that little thing.”
