As usual, Vox was in his office, occupying himself with many blueprints and businesss paperwork, signing legal forms and looking over profit reports. He set down his notebook full of analytics and mathematical equations and sighed, leaning back in his arm-chair and glancing up at the big monitor directly infront of him, displaying the outside of the infamous Hazbin Hotel. Normally, he wouldn't care for anything like that glorified rehab centre, but this time was different.

Vox had been informed about Alastor's return, which had sent him into a spiral of anxiety. Not that he let anyone see that it had, no, he'd never let that happen But that was all he could think about. Alastor. The Radio Demon - someone who he used to be oh-so close with, until 'the fight'. He never talked about 'the fight' to anyone, not even Valentino, somebody who was there when it happened. Vox had that horrible, nagging fear that Alastor would rise back into power, that Alastor could destroy everything that Vox had made in the past seven years. He had worked so hard, he had formed 'The Vees', a trio of Overlords that had an iron-tight grip on the citizens of Pentagram City, he had his infinitely successful business, 'VoxTek' - and most importantly, he was one of the most feared and powerful Overlord's in all of Hell.

It's not like he could just let that happen. Let that stupid, smug radio-host wreck everything. So he just spent his time watching, watching and waiting. Making sure he knew every little thing that Alastor was doing. He already had many cameras around Pentagram City, he had them everywhere but inside of that ratty hotel. Sure, he had an outside view - but that wasn't enough for him. What if Alastor struck a deal with Charlie Morningstar, Lucifer's daughter? There were endless possibilities.

"What did I tell you about inviting yourself into my office announced, Val?"

As Vox heard his office door creak open, he didn't look away from the monitor, instead letting out an irritated sigh at his boyfriends unexpected arrival.
