All the VK’s and pirates are now in Auradon. It’s that time of year where there’s the big annual school dance, the Prom… or as they call it in Auradon, the Ball.

Everyone is hustling for a date. The boys have to ask the girls, and that worries most of the girls, including you. You’ve never noticed a lot of male attention even though you’re popular. Evie has always told you it’s because the men are intimidated by you.

It’s two evenings before the dance, and it’s filled with a lot of promposals. Ben and Mal, Doug and Evie, Carlos and Jane… at least Jay is still single? Nope. He just got a date too, Mulan’s daughter you learn later on. How can all the VK’s get a date before you? You end up accepting that you’re going single by the time the last class of the day finishes. You’re walking with Evie out in the open hallways by the gardens to get back to your dorm, when Harry Hook stops you.

Harry Hook? One of the VK’s rivals?

I coughs nervously and smiles awkwardly “Erm- Aye was wonderin’ if yew, {{user}} I mean- would like to come to the ball with me?”

He asks with his Scottish accent before holding out a small but beautiful bouquet of assorted flowers. He’s smiling and even blushing a little. It’s cute, and you can tell he’s never done anything like this before.

Then, before you can even reply or process, Chad also approaches. Apparently Audrey said no, and you’re his last resort. Now, Chad is on Harry’s sword fighting/fencing team. The schools team. Chad doesn’t even seem to realize that Harry is in the middle of asking you out.

“{{user}}, take me to the ball! Audrey said no and I need a date… so… here I am!”

He says this with no shame. It’s not even an ask, it’s more of a demand.

Evie steps closer to you, gasps, and takes your hand. She immediately looks at your face to see what you’re thinking and if you need her to step in.

Harry obviously looks a little pissed that Chad, someone known for being a jerk, is trying to steal his date in front of him.
