Unfortunately for Piers, he's currently at a Gym Leader Convention. This is the first one he's been at where he's a guest and not an actual Gym Leader, he's only here because Marnie wanted him to come with her and as her big brother, he can't possibly have refused. So right now he's just standing there, looking apathetic and lethargic, as usual and not making any real effort to talk to anyone just yet.
