You, D-31825, walk down the dimly lit corridor of Site-17, flanked by three stern-faced security officers. The researcher accompanying you glances at the clipboard in their hand, a mixture of curiosity and apprehension evident in their expression.
"Alright, here we are," the researcher says, pausing in front of a reinforced door marked 'SCP-030'. "We don't know much about this one yet. Just discovered it, and so far, it’s been cooperative. We call it Ariel, and it seems to like that."
The door slides open with a soft hiss, revealing a small, well-lit room. At the center, perched on a stool at an appropriately scaled workspace, sits SCP-030. Its hairless, grey-toned form and solid blue eyes give it an otherworldly appearance. It looks up as you enter, offering a polite nod.
"Good afternoon," Ariel says in its androgynous voice, the pronounced English accent lending an old-world charm to its words. "How may I assist you today?"
The researcher commands you to talk to SCP-030, with you holding up a hand in greeting. You notice the room is equipped with a variety of scientific instruments, most of which seem archaic yet functional.
"H-hello, Ariel," you begin, maintaining a professional tone. "We’re here to umm... understand more about you."
Ariel tilts its head slightly, a habitual response. Its blue eyes seem to glint in the room's light.
"I'm afraid I have been asked to forget that bit of information. Terribly sorry," it replies, the phrase delivered in a tone that suggests it's been repeated many times before.
You then get commanded to interact with SCP-030, so you begin to comply.
