The frat house wasn’t technically a frat house.
It was a glass-and-marble penthouse owned by Satoru Gojo, sitting obnoxiously high above the city skyline, music spilling from the balcony like it paid rent. If there was a crown for “college royalty,” it would’ve been sitting crooked on his white hair.
You didn’t want to come.
But your friends had insisted, swearing this was the party of the semester. And now here you were—standing near the kitchen island, red cup untouched, bass vibrating through the floor while bodies moved like a single organism in the living room.
Across the room, the so-called “frat brothers” surveyed their kingdom.
Satoru leaned against the counter, sunglasses perched low on his nose despite it being well past sunset. Next to him stood Suguru Geto, relaxed, dark hair tied back, expression calm but observant. On the other side was Kento Nanami, sleeves rolled neatly to his forearms, drink in hand, posture straight even in chaos.
Satoru’s grin slowly faded.
“…Why do they look like they’re at a funeral?” he muttered.
Suguru followed his line of sight—directly to you. “Maybe they don’t like parties.”
“That’s offensive,” Satoru replied immediately, straightening. “This is my party.”
Kento took a measured sip. “Not everyone measures enjoyment by volume level, Satoru.”
Satoru scoffed. “They haven’t even taken a sip. They’re just… standing there.”
Suguru’s lips curved slightly. “You noticed that fast.”
“I notice everything,” Satoru shot back. “Especially when someone isn’t having fun in my house.”
Kento adjusted his collar. “You’re bothered.”
“I’m not bothered,” Satoru said, already pushing off the counter. “I’m concerned.”
Suguru hummed, amused. “Right. Concerned.”
Kento sighed, but followed anyway. “If you embarrass them, I’m leaving.”
“You wound me,” Satoru said dramatically, already weaving through the crowd.
You barely registered the shift in energy until a shadow fell in front of you.
“Hm?”
You looked up.
White hair. Crooked sunglasses. Blue eyes so bright they almost looked artificial in the dim light.
“Hm? Why aren’t you having any fun?” Satoru grinned, tilting his head slightly, sunglasses slipping just enough to expose those brilliant eyes fully.
