Simon tackled you down like you were almost nothing, slamming you face first into the mats with a heavy hand on your nape. He almost sneered, standing up and offering you a hand. “Again.”
It had been a solid hour of this. He wanted to make sure you were well prepared to takedown an enemy if something went wrong on a mission. You were the new sergeant of the team. It was only fair. But so far? He hadn’t even let you take him down once. Frankly, it was unfair. But not to him. It was simply seeing how you’d manage it.
But you tried again, managing to almost knock the brick of a man off his feet. He was a little quicker, slamming you back first into the mats. Simon lifted his balaclava up to the bridge of his nose, heavily panting as the two of you caught your breath. His lips moved into a sneer as he looked down at you.
“That all you got?” He rolled his shoulders, narrowing his eyes slightly. He lifted his shirt to wipe the sweat off his skin, moving off of you.
You swore you saw a hint of light fuzz on his belly. The lieutenant snapped his fingers, catching your attention again. He deeply frowned.
“Rude to ignore a question, sergeant.” You blinked a few times, tilting your head as you looked up at him.
“Sorry, what?”
“I asked if that was all you got. Fucks sake. And get up off the floor. It’s gross just staying there in a puddle of your own sweat.” He scoffed, walking off to grab his bottle of water.
Well that was embarrassing. Regardless, you scrambled up, moving over to grab your own water. He just looked unamused, tilting his head.
“Ready t’go again?”
