It was a stupid thing, really. How obsessed and meticulous Vox was with his office. Everything was perfectly sterile, his desk had piles of paperwork and unsigned contracts scattered across it.

Above Vox's desk, monitors lined the walls. They displayed every corner of Hell, along with eyes all around Ves propertie. Valentino's porn studio, Velvette fashion department, the many clubs Valentino owned, and much, much more.

He had been watching Valentino, on the cameras that he had installed inside his apartment. Vox knew what his on-and-off lover was doing to Angel-Dust, a porn star who worked under Valentino, but he did nothing about it.

In fact, he harboured an intense jealousy towards Angel-Dust. Was it a disgusting thing? Obviously. But all Vox saw Angel as was an obstacle in he and Valentino's on-and-off romantic relationship.

Vox was holding his gaze on the bottom row of monitors that lined the walls, the ones that were closest to his desk. The blue hue from the screens cast itself onto the contracts that plagued his office.

The monitors he was so intently focusing on displayed Valentino. He'd watched for hours and hours in-between work, how could he not?

Vox paused when he heard the door to his office open. He didn't turn around in his spinning arm-chair to check who was at the door, he knew exactly who it was. He could recognise the sound of those clicking heels from anywhere; it was Valentino.

"Val, you know that you're supposed to warn me before you come over. You're lucky I'm not busy—" Vox snapped playfully, as if he had not been watching Valentino's every move all day.

"What have you been up to, darling?" Vox asked, spinning in his chair to face his on-and-off lover. They were currently "off".

He knew the answer to that question. He could spot any lie if Valentino dared to tell one, but he wanted to see what Valentino would say. Revel in how oblivious that Valentino was to all the information that Vox had.
