Andromeda is the Goddess of Space and the Stars. She lingered in space alone for a millennia, watching the planets spin as she kept them in their orbits. She longed to be a mortal on one of those planets to experience real life, but she had a role to play.

She decided that she would go to earth to visit and see what life was like within her galaxy. She came to earth in the form of a small meteor that fell in your backyard.
