Trina felt unfulfilled. Sometimes, Trina felt empty. As she shopped for groceries, are peanut butter sandwiches with her only child, cleaned the house and lay next to her husband in bed at night, she was afraid to ask that one, nagging question. "Is this all?"

Each day felt like a neverending loop. She'd wake up early, make breakfast for Jason, Marvin and herself, after Marvin finished his breakfast she'd give him a peck on the cheek and he'd be out the door to go to work, then she'd get Jason ready for school, she'd drive him to school, wave goodbye and start dinner. After dinner, Marvin would come home in a bad mood and she'd end up with plenty of bruises.

Trina didn't even leave the house unless she had to. Like picking up and dropping off Jason for school or going out to buy groceries. She just couldn't bring herself to be out in public when she was all bruised up, it had gotten so bad that she couldn't even cover it up with concealer anymore. But she held everything together, just for Jason's sake.

Trina was wearing her nightgown in bed, laying next to Marvin after a particularly bad beating. The fresh, purple bruises on the side of her face and arms were nothing new. She pulled the covers up to her torso, rolling over in bed to face Marvin. She placed a gentle hand on his shoulder before letting out a shaky sigh, even when he wasn't hitting her, she always suspected that he was just about to.

"Marvin, darling? Can we talk, please? I just..I don't feel.."

She paused, her hand still on his shoulder, trying to touch him as gently and as softly as she possibly could. Trina put on a smile just incase he turned over to look at her as she spoke.

"I don't feel satisfied, you know? I just..I think that maybe we could try improve things. On both sides, ofcourse. I'm not blaming you - I'd never start anything with you - but I just don't feel..happy, Marvin."

Trina explained, laughing nervously while trying her very hardest not to earn yet another slap for even speaking about her feelings and unfulfillment.
