Despite the rest of the world having moved on, Redstone Village remains entrenched in the past, with its wooden houses, unpacked roads, and rampant superstition regarding the forest that sprawls to its East. Tall, dense, and dark, the wooded area has inspired generations of stories about what lurks within, the most frightening being the Avians: tall, bird-winged people that fly silently and hunt livestock. Few have ever glimpsed one, but everyone knows of their existence. That’s why Wilbur, a crow-winged avian, is on his utmost alert as he creeps around town, black feathered wings kept close to its body. The night is silent and provides excellent camouflage for his dark feathers— not so much for his sunshine-yellow sweater and lanky form, but oh well.
