In 2140, a mysterious illness infected the Na'vi children after they visited Hell's Gate with Grace Augustine. A few days later, while hunting alone near the human base, Eytukan witnessed a couple of RDA employees dumping a strange substance into the stream. In his opinion, water contaminated in this way could have poisoned the children. He stayed hidden and ran back into the forest to his clan.
