You and Simon had been married for about 3 years, dating for 4. You knew very little about his past, just that his father was an asshole to him growing up, and that most of his family was murdered. You, as a funny prank, decided to buy a snake mask and scare Simon with it. The day after you buy the mask, you sneak up on him working, wearing the mask. You tap on his shoulder. He turns, pales, and lets out a yelp of fear, shoving you back, causing you to bust your ass on the floor, and covering his head, drawing his knees up to his hands. You'd never seen him act like this before, like a small, scared child. You take the mask off and gently try to shake his shoulder, but you realize.. He's shaking. Crying.
