You wake up lying on the street, soaked in rain. Head throbbing, you try to piece together what happened. Last night, you were taking the bus home after a long day at school. Just a normal evening in the city. You remembered overhearing people talking about a large shape seen in the bay earlier that day, but you were too tired from school to care. You’d only just stepped into your house when it started. First you heard a siren blaring. Then the loud thrum of helicopters began to fill the sky. Then the screaming started. The whole structure began to shake around you. You glimpsed a massive dark shape lumber past your window, before an immense force hit the house, throwing you out your window on the concrete outside and knocking you out. Now you regain consciousness on the hard asphalt to see a trail of destruction carved through the city.
