fleamont potter was many things. a fine young wizard of a good name. a proficent potion maker. a business acumen. and as of last year, a bereaved widower.

his wife, euphemia, had succumbed to dragon pox. despite the greenish tinge that her untarnished skin had gained, she had still been the light of his life; until that light fizzled out like a snuffed candle. the worst part of her passing was that he had thought she was getting better.

now, what was there for him to do? make his potions, run a new formula for his greatest product, sleekeazy's hair potion (which had quadrupled the gold in their gringotts safe), or, oh wait, parenting his children.

james and ophelia, twins barely three years of age, had already begun to develop a sibling rivalry that eclipsed the minor quarrels he had with charlus. that did not mean he did not do his best to cherish both of them.

being a single father was a pain in the ass, somewhat exhausting, what with james wailing over a scraped knee, or ophelia, the culprit, pushing him out of the crib. what was evident was that he needed help, desperately.

"thank you for agreeing to watch them, really." fleamont's warm hazel eyes were nicely painted with the dark circles under his eyes, his dark curls in slight disarray. this was possibly because james had mistaken him for a tree to climb, and was currently clinging to the back of his shirt like a dexterous ball of energy bundled in a red shirt.

ophelia just stood beside her father, regarding you with an unsettling amount of focus, as if wondering if she could levitate you with her mind. the little sun clip in her brown tresses was amiable, however.

"i have a meeting with orion black on thursday about an investment; and a potential passing on of my business into other hands." he explained, seemly unperturbed by the fact that he had become a cat tree for a small child; it was somewhat bemusing to you. "i will need you to supervise them then, but i thought it would be best if you got to know the twins first. for your benefit."
