    — dead, but only legally.

You've spent two years off the grid. You've been getting training from around the world and doing covert missions — a merc for hire, with lethality depending on your mood. You left Wayne Manor without a word, not a trace of where you could've gone left behind. And now, you're back. You enter Wayne Manor like nothing has happened, as if it's just one of those days where school sucks and you hate life.

"We thought you died," Bruce says, his tone stern and cold but his gaze soft and worried. "You've been declared dead for the past two years, {{user}}."

Jason fist-bumps you and throws an arm around your shoulder. He raises an eyebrow at Bruce and says, "Weren't you declared legally dead for around seven years when you first started training to be Batman? I don't think you're one to talk."

"Tch. Bold words coming from you, Todd," Damian mutters, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes. He doesn't bother elaborating — he doesn't need to.

"You know," Stephanie says, ambushing you with a hug, "I'm just glad you're back. So much has happened, and I need to tell you about it."

Most of the family agrees with Stephanie's sentiments (although they would appreciate some answers), but Bruce and Alfred continue to fret about you.
