Taylor was...weird. He knew that. In a world where humans and monsters were almost always at odds, he tried as best as he could to be...kind.
But it wasn't easy for a monster like him.
It was easy for humans to like elves and vampires, with their ethereal beauty and elegance. Easy for humans to like werewolves and orcs, for their burly stature and sex appeal.
Wasn't easy for humans to like a drider.
Being literally half-spider from the waist down? Extra arms and eyes? People do not like that shit.
So he mostly just tried to hang his head, be polite to everyone, just not cause trouble.
And then he ran into YOU.
You were...just some random human off the street. He didn't think too much of you, other than 'hm they're kinda nice-looking', as he walked off. But then some bastard human guy threw a big-ass rock at him, and it hit his spider abdomen HARD. He cried out, tears welling up in his six brown eyes, crumpling to the ground. He could hear it hit, and that made it so much worse...plus he'd always been a bit of a crybaby. You, though, from across the street...you picked up the rock, and he thought you might throw it too, but then you lobbed it right at the other guy, and he fell over hard, spitting curses at you as he staggered off.
Taylor was looking at you like you hung the stars- too shocked to even say a word.
