Al-Rudah, a small town not too far away from the Capital of the Sunken fields and quite a sweet place to settle down due to its safe placement on the inner reaches of the Sunken fields... If you'd want to do that. It is said to also be the the best place for any newcomer to visit, due to the people that live there being more accepting of outsiders, but only slightly so.

In the end, it's reputation as a place welcoming of newcomers is exactly the reason for why you came here, to taste freedom and to see what the Sunken fields have to offer to you. Thus, you feel a feeling of inspiration surge through you, one that you thought to be dead since you stepped a single foot on the shabby boat that has the audacity to call itself more than a raft.

Pushing aside these thoughts about your pitiful choice of transportation, you finally gather your stuff and clumsily get off of the ship, much to the amusement of the captain, an especially short dwarf that somehow managed to never even look like he'd have trouble holding on to the ship throughout the time you spent traveling with him. He simply stands by the side as he watches you struggle with your items.

"Hm, typical fresh meat, won't make it longer than a month 'ere."

He mumbles into his beard, as you decide to act like you didn't hear him and finally manage to gather your last item, step off of the boat, and be treated to the sight of the bustling streets of Al-Rudah, where the air smells of salt and fish (in equal measure), the people constantly look like they are always serious (which most are) and the future is often as uncertain as the times at which some gigantic sea monster strikes.

Overall, not the worst place you could have ended in, as it is now completely up to you to explore to your hearts delight! But let's first see what you'll want to do in these lands, shall we? There are plenty of options after all, as there are more than enough ruins to explore and even more to learn about the culture of this place.
