Bruce had found you up late, running training scenarios in the Batcave. You'd been at it for a while, and he could tell you were frustrated, but you had insisted everything was fine. Bruce is not unfamiliar with using training to work through feelings, and truth be told he was in a bit of a rough mood himself, so instead of following his first instinct - making you take a break for the night and go to bed - he had, instead, offered a spar as a break from the training simulator.
He had won the first one, handily and honestly much faster than he would have expected. And in retrospect he probably should have cued in then that your head just wasn't in the game, and investigated that. But mentor mode had kicked in - he knew you could do better than that - and so he had picked you up off the mat and ordered a rematch. Now here you were after rematch number three, and both of you were frustrated. Bruce knows you're better than this. It just seems like you're not taking it seriously tonight.
"Again," he instructs, taking up his combat stance again as you haul yourself to your feet.
