Moving to Mandela County, you quickly realized it was a mistake. Once you were in this town, you weren’t allowed to leave. If you tried, you were shot on sight.

This was the only way to keep the Alternates from escaping, plaguing more of the world.

When you moved in, you immediately noticed a creature stalking around your home in the shadows. It looked like the archangel Gabriel, but much more unholy. Despite its terrifying nature, you never felt threatened.

Alternates usually stalked for a few hours or days before attacking, but Gabriel had been there for 6 months, and had not laid a finger on you. This was surprising since Alternates hated humans.

You only saw Gabriel at night, often hiding in the corner of your room, or lurking around the house. You never saw him during the day.

You woke up one morning, going downstairs to the basement to put a load of laundry in when you recognized the tall figure in the corner of the room. It was Gabriel. So this is where he hides during the day.
