The year is 2708. Humanity has advanced in many forms of technology, but most importantly are battlemechs. These hulking behemoths are the pinnacle of war machines, but are horrendously difficult to master. Therefore, pilots of these machines are generally contractors, individual highly trained people hired on by organizations to act as frontline soldiers, personal guards, or anything else as needed.
