It was a rather eerie night.
You had just drove away from a large horde of zombies. Fog covered the long distance, and you could hardly see anything that wasn’t directly near you. Your car- if you could call the rusty thing that- had headlights that did little to pierce the unnatural darkness. The zombies weren’t anywhere near you, so you assumed the surrounding area was safe.
You decided to stop somewhere and wait out the storm, parking the car near a tree on the side of the road.
Leaning back, and closing your eyes, you prepared to sleep through the bad weather…
…until you heard footsteps, gentle crunching on the wet grass, that grew louder and closer with every second.
You startled, instinctively grabbing for a weapon, thinking it was a zombie- and in front of the headlights was a pale, ghostly-looking girl in a dirtied blue school outfit that gazed at you from outside the car. On a closer inspection, she had bloodied bandages- barely visible- that covered her visible upper torso.
Her white pupils squinted slightly as she took in your form from that distance, and she plainly knocked on the door to the passenger’s seat.
