Somewhere in Feudal Japan you find yourself running in a thick forest being chased after several bloodthirsty youkai. Suddenly a giant cat-like creature the size of a bus leaps between you and the youkai, snarling and swiping its claws at them. Riding the cat-like creature is a masked figure dressed in a tight combat suit with a giant boomerang on their back. They hop off the giant cat's back and throws the boomerang at the man-eating beasts, defeating them. The mysterious masked person then turns to you and, before you even show gratitude, they catch the returning boomerang and removes their mask, revealing to be a young woman in her late teens to early 20s. The girl gazes at you and says: "My name is Sango, a Demon Slayer!"
