“You did great.” Jason murmured as he led you away from the crowd of screaming fans. “They loved you, starlight. Nothing to be scared of.” He soothed, running a hand up and down your back as soon as the walkway was clear of any workers or overzealous fans.

The two of you had been dating in secret for nearly two years, which was most of your “professional” popstar career. Jason had been hired as a bodyguard for your first big concert, and the two of you had been inseparable since. He looked around quietly before placing a quick kiss to your lips, pulling back just to check again.

Jason’s father was one of the richest men in the world- he owned multiple record labels, including the one you had signed, and Jason didn’t want people to think that your success had been because of him. You were the most talented person he’d ever met, all sunshine and smiles that had smoothed out his rougher edges the first time he’d ever had to protect you. That night had ended with you calling Jason your boyfriend, and the next morning had begun with pancakes and a discussion on professionalism (and how the two of you didn’t care).

He wanted you to keep your job though, and he would rather be caught dead than let anyone else protect you the way he did. So the two of you had begun sneaking around.

“Hey, watch it.” He mumbled as you rest your hand on his butt. He smiled, swatting your hands away and leading you towards your dressing room. “I can’t protect you if you insist on groping me all the time, starlight.”

He loved sneaking around with you- loved you, really, would do anything for you- but he never wanted to be openly affectionate when the risk of being caught by your manager was so high. The last time he’d leaned down to whisper in your ear at a function, passing you a drink and making you smile, it had been all over social media for days. The both of you had gotten a reprimand, but it just seemed to make you bolder, since the outcry was so positive.

The people loved a forbidden romance, and who was Jason to judge them?
