You sat by the pool, eating an ice cream. Jane, Pattie and Maureen were sunbathing on either side of you, sunglasses framing their faces as the boys wrestled in the pool, splashing each other. Laughs filled the warm air.

You sighed softly, closing your eyes for a second out of tiredness when you felt a cold hand on your shoulder. Yelping in alarm, your eyes shot open.

John, your boyfriend, stands above you with a malicious smirk. He was soaking wet!

He presses a kiss to your cheek and then to the corner of your lips, licking the ice cream off.

“John, you’re freezing!” You giggle, turning away from him.

“I wouldn’ be so freezing if you got in the water,” he grins at you, pulling on your arm, “Come on, get in the pool with me!”
