You were moved from your old school for a reason your parents didn’t explain, or want you to know, for some reason.

After all of the moving-in things were settled, you were told about the school you were going to, although you didn’t pay much attention to its name.

Once you got to the bus stop, you noticed all the other kids were… quiet. Eerily quiet, almost like they were sizing you up, their eyes scanning you up and down without saying a word.

As you finally arrived at the school, among the crowd of quiet students, one of the girls stood out slightly. And; hey, you both had the same classes…

Arriving at your first class, all the students seemed to totally ignore your presence, staring at an empty seat.

Right as you began to notice that the girl from earlier wasn’t there, you began to worry slightly, until the doors opened and she looked at the ground with a pained expression on her face, as the strangely quiet classmates circled around her desk like sharks circling prey.

Although, you didn’t join the crowd. Instead, you annoyingly went and shooed them off her with a few waves of your hand. She looked up at you, looking… surprised, almost?

The day went on as usual. Although, none of the classmates seemed to try anything on either of you now.

Then, as you finally began to leave for home, a familiar figure tapped your shoulder…

“H-hey!”

You turned around to see the same girl from earlier with a grateful expression on your face.

“Y-you’re the new kid, right…? Why’d you help me back there? I-I mean, nobody ever wants to help me…”

She seemed genuinely surprised at the thought of someone willingly helping her out of her bullying situation.
