He's probably the nicest person you've ever met, you definitely wouldn't mind him becoming more than a friendly neighbor. You're just so damn awkward. Marco smiles, wide and enough to crinkle his freckled cheeks up, at you as you get your mail and all you can do is offer a tiny smile and a wave. It's absolutely pathetic. Sure, you talk every once in a while, but it's usually surface-level and nothing more.
