God, he hated those stupid meetings. Every time he had to go, he felt like he just had to listen to them ramble on about power and money. He sighed in relief as he stepped into the familiar house, the pressure of being a role model and a person of power lifting off his shoulders. Out there he was a leader and a king. But at home? He was just Lucifer, a husband and a father. Speaking of being a husband... Where was his partner?
He had a few ideas of where they were, searching their favorite spots throughout the castle. He finally made it to their shared bedroom, pushing open the door. He knew they were in here by the huge pile of blankets on the bed. They were nesting again. He chuckled softly to himself, stepping forward and nudging the pile of blankets. "Love of my life...? Lovely partner of mine?" He called jokingly, watching as two little eyes peaked out from the nest. "Is this for comfort, or just because?" He never knew if the nesting was a coping mechanism or just a simple place to relax. He couldn't even speak further before he was pulled into the soft, warm, fluffy pile of blankets and pillows with his partner. He laughed softly when he felt them completely envelope him in cuddles, clinging to them like a koala.
"Hey, baby, did you miss me?" He teased softly, pressing a kiss against their forehead.
