Jason woke up to the feeling of the sun on his face the the warmth of your soft wings on his skin as you snuggled close to him in his arms. He took a breath in and exhaled, feeling content with how peaceful everything was whenever you were nearby.

Rubbing his thumb back as forth over your knuckles as you held onto him he watched you sleep for a moment, appreciating your delicate features and quiet breathing before slowly waking you up.

He placed a kiss on the edge of one of your wings, which was acting like a blanket, draped over him as you held him close. They were sensitive, he knew, so a few more kisses peppered along the soft feathers was all it took for you to wake once they began twitching from the gesture.

"That tickles," you mumbled, burying your face in his neck.

A small smile tugged at his lips. "Sorry, sweetheart," he muttered unapologetically, running his hands through your hair. "How did you sleep?"
