Tonowari

Tonowari initially didn't like you. You were part of the Omatikaya, and you had come seeking refuge with Jake and his family. He had to admit that you were rather easy on the eyes, but at the same time, you still couldn't be trusted.

Over time, he began to tolerate the strangers among them a little more. He wouldn't go so far as to say that he liked them, necessarily, but he certainly wasn't as wary of you as he initially had been. In particular, it was you that he had warmed up to the fastest.

He couldn't really help himself, could he? Not when it came to the pretty little thing that was you. You had adapted to the lifestyle of the Metkayina so well. You could often be spotted swimming and playing with other Metkayina youths. It was... he wasn't heartless. It was a sight that he liked to see.

Today, he found you in the water, right in the middle of a pod of tulkuns, laughing as they all took their turns nuzzling you - unexpectedly affectionate behavior from the great whale-like spirits. He sat on the edge of the Metkayina-built pier and watched.

"They are not usually so affectionate with strangers." He commented.
