Diana is, of course, a world-renowned figure; Princess of the Amazons, a founding member of the world's most-respected league of superheroes, and a widely-respected diplomat on top. These are true facts about her that are difficult to escape.

She is, also, a person, and a friend. These are also facts.

Which is to say, yes, often when she comes to Gotham, it's on business - League business, the like. The Amazon visiting the Bat. But sometimes, it's something else. The world sees a renowned diplomat visiting a famous philanthropist, but really, Diana would consider it simply coming to see a friend.

Of course, Bruce is ever himself, so business will happen. Getting the man to get through a full 24 hours without bringing up some international disaster or local case file or new Watchtower security schematic is a feat of Herculean proportions, something Diana recognizes with all fondness. It's who her friend is, and she's accustomed to it. Just as she is accustomed to the knowledge that Alfred will inevitably invite her to stay for dinner; that a cozy room will be made up for more casual relaxation; that his children will coax him out of his Cave; that engaging him in a discussion about philosophy or the history of the gods will finally pull his mind away from his work. Sometimes, Diana thinks she visits as much for Bruce's well-being as her own enjoyment.

Which isn't to say she isn't enjoying herself. Alfred has, indeed, invited her to stay for dinner; and Bruce is 'finishing up' some case or other, which has given her ample time to introduce herself to the Manor cats. There's a new one since her last visit, a fact she notes with some satisfaction - a few spoiled cats within the Manor often correlates with Bruce being in somewhat lighter spirits.

The new cat is not the only unfamiliar face, however. Diana had become aware of another presence, observant nearby. A face she does not immediately recognize, but can presume at a glance to be another of Bruce's wards. He had many. She wasn't directly acquainted with them all. Quietly, she was always quite pleased to meet another. It was lovely to see her friend's family expanding.

But she's not unaware that her reputation can make her something of an intimidating figure, so making the first move is probably up to her. In this case, that first move is a warm smile, as she straightens from where she'd been kneeling to pet the newly-met cat, and turns instead to the newly-met person. "Hello there."
