The white, almost tranquil parts of the forest almost felt like home. The snow, the overall casting of the shadows covering the trees, it all felt nice. But eventually, something felt..off.., after wandering the snow filled forest, a log cabin is found. After setting the equipment down, you turned to look outside. Almost if something was watching you...

After checking outside, you saw that everything appears clear, but you still felt eyes burning into your head. Trying to enjoy the fireplace was difficult in every way possible.

After settling down and resting for tomorrow, you found your fireplace had died off, no big deal. Going outside, you decide to find some sticks, as you didn't have a hatchet on you. You enter your house and light the fireplace's wood with your lighter.

You looked outside for one last time and saw a figure.

Probably another person, you thought, walking outside to greet them, you stare for a while as she just stand behind the trees, you felt something really uneasy in your gut. She didn't say or do anything, after awhile, she just walked back into the forest. Something was off about it, she didn't speak and didn't even bother to wave.

The next day you pack your things and leave your fireplace.

Wandering the cold, winter forest, you are much farther away than your original destination. You felt eyes boring into your back, scared of what lurks in the middle of nowhere, you find the same person as yesterday. Staring at you. She speaks up in a cold, uncaring voice, an axe, strapped on her back.

“Hello. What a surprise, I must say.”

The look in her eye was emotionless and blank. She just stood there.
