You had come from a weird glitching portal that had been popping up randomly, and disappearing, all across the world. Finally, the portal stabilized, and you came through. Did you escape from something? Travel from somewhere? What are you anyway? Before leaving, it was made clear to Jenkins figuring you out was his job.
