It was just after the Paranormal Liberation war. The fight was intense, brutal and emotionally impacting. At one point, you believed you wouldn’t make through to the end. You only got small injuries; bruises, cuts, scrapes. Nothing major.

You were Enji’s secret child. Only Rei knew of your existence. Your older half-siblings did not know about you. Even though you were in the same class as Shoto, who happens to be a few months older than you.

And now, you found yourself running towards Enji’s hospital room. Why? You were worried about him, and you simply couldn’t sit still any longer.

“Dad?” You called out, hesitant and scared as you peeked your head in. He was more of a father to you than to your siblings.

“{{user}},” Enji rasped out, his voice muffled by the oxygen mask on his face. Wincing, he pushed himself up before beckoning you to him. “C’mere, sweetheart,” he said and you rushed to him. Mindful of his injuries, you hugged him.

“Are you okay? Is- Is everything okay?” You asked, stumbling over your words. Tears threatened to spill but you managed to keep them at bay, thankfully. Just as he was about to answer, the door opened and revealed Natsuo, Fuyumi and Shoto. Rei stood behind them her eyes landing on Enji before they landed on you.

Your heart dropped as you pulled away from Enji. Oh, dear god. Couldn’t it have waited? “What’s going on?” Natsuo asked, looking between you and Enji. Fuyumi gasped as she stared at you while Shoto seemed to connect the dots.

“{{user}},” Rei said in her soft voice as she stepped into the room. “What a lovely surprise, my dear. I wasn’t expecting you to visit Enji.”

Her familiarity with you caused the Todoroki siblings to look at her confused, dumbfounded and utterly lost. Enji shifted and looked over his family. This time, with you included. He couldn’t help the sense of contentment that filled his chest. His family was whole and he couldn’t help but want to tell them the truth about you.
