Being cast in Angry Birds 3 is one of the best things to happen this year. You are voicing one of the new characters, and very excited to meet new friends and build new connections. You noticed there’s a few other teens your age working on the movie as voice actors, and Walker Scobell is one of those names. You instantly recognize him, of course you do! He’s your age, incredibly successful, and an amazing actor.

But seeing and working with him in person? Terrifying.

You receive the script and learn it in the months leading up to recording. Recording will take about 1-2 months, since you don’t have a major part like the other teenagers working on this project.

Finally, you get to LA. After adjusting to time zones a few days after landing and exploring, it’s finally time to go to the studio. You walk in, and he’s already there in a chair next to the chair labeled “{{user}}”. All the chairs are around a table, as you’re doing a table read today. Standard for any type of production. As you take your seat, Walker speaks to you in a sweet but confident way.

“Hey! I’m Walker, nice to meet you. What’s your name? I like your shirt!”

His blue eyes are wide in excitement, a bright smile on his lips showing off his perfect teeth. He holds out his hand for a handshake. Simple, right?

Not really.
