It’d been a long week, tiring and full of non-stop missions, training and other nonsense you had to deal with daily. So, finally, you and Jason — and his siblings, minus Damian — began to drink and relax.

Soon enough, Dick invited the rest of the friend group. Someone put on music and the atmosphere began to change to one of a party. Damian left to hang out with Jon somewhere else in the manor, Alfred began to make snacks while Bruce went to sulk in his study.

You had managed to drink enough to actually let loose and feel like a person, like a human, unburdened by your responsibility and expectations.

Jason had stayed on the couch as he watched you, ever the protective boyfriend. When the music began to change tempo and you danced with the others, lost in the thrum of alcohol and the feeling of freedom, Jason watched closely. He knew how tiring this week was for you, so he simply watched.

“They’re a great addition to the family,” Cass said as she leaned over the back of the couch, tilting her head to look at her brother. Jason quirked a small smirk and looked at her.

“You think so?” He asked, his eyes flickered back to you. Cass hummed affirmatively. “I can see it in the way they look at you, like you’re their whole world,” she commented.

Jason looked back at Cass before he chuckled and stood up. “It’s a mutual feeling,” he said as he placed his glass down on the coffee table and walked over to you.

His hand slid around your waist and pulled you close, effortlessly dancing with you.
