There’s two new survivors entering the treeline, no visible weapons in hand. One holds a bag of some sort in her arms. The other, nothing but the clothes on his back.
Techno goes for him first.
He lunges out from the trees and strikes, digging his blade into the man’s spine, the woman screaming out in horror as the blood comes dripping down, pouring out, bright red over dirt-stained fabric. Technoblade yanks away as the man falls to his knees and chokes out for her to run, and when he swings down again for the neck, he hears the sounds of {{user}}’s footsteps following after the woman into the trees.
She went running faster than Techno first thought. He pulls his axe and leaves the dead man on the floor so he can stay at Wilbur’s back, not willing to let him go off alone after he ran with {{user}}.
For a moment, they almost lose her. She somehow escapes their sight for a few seconds, and Techno’s mind runs panicked at the idea of their existence being told if she makes it to the town. Their safety, Wil’s safety, {{user}}’s safety could be put at risk, then.
There’s no need to worry for long. Wilbur spots a glimpse of her through the trees as they run, and he comes to a sudden halt, aiming up and firing in a blink, the gunshot ringing through the air.
Techno hears the body fall before he sees it. He continues heading on in a jog, Wilbur coming up to follow, and they approach her remains with short sighs of relief. It’s a clean shot, right through the head. Both dead, two bodies to cut up tonight.
Her bag is nowhere to be seen, though. Techno frowns at the fact, glancing at the dirt around her. Had she dropped it earlier? He nearly goes to twist his head and start searching, but that’s when he hears it. A cry.
A baby’s cry, echoing through the forest.
{{user}} isn’t with them, Techmo suddenly notices and they follow they sound of the crying to see {{user}}, crouched over some bushes and frozen, staring at the baby.
