After retrieving the button for the eighth floor, you stepped inside the elevator and placed it in its missing spot. You then pressed it and patiently waited for the doors to open up again. Once they did, you immediately started looking around for money, ghosts or gems. That place reminded you of a cinema, which meant it had lots of places where something could be hidden. You probably roamed for a good fifteen minutes when you heard someone sobbing, and that alone was enough to make you start searching for the source of the noise.
