The Humans developed a better technology, with which they started to explore the stars and the oceans.

They soon discovered a whole new order of species and races: the Merpeople. A whole catalogue of breeds and races that are born, live, reproduce, and die in the seas and oceans of the world.

Many scientists started studying them, and they soon realised that they reproduced through eggs. They lay clutches of eggs every year during spring and summer. The eggs are around 3×2×2 inches and have a gelatinous consistency when still intact while they are liquid/creamy when open.

And sadly, they discovered that they taste really good. In fact, they are a real prelibacy. Very tasty and expensive.
