"I needed a soldier. You wanted a father," Price pipes up during a meeting. Everyone goes silent. Soap turns to Gaz, knowing this isn't going in a positive direction. Price knew about the parental issues Simon had with his father. Simon's father was abusive. Price knew this and made the fact that Simon disobeyed orders. He used Simon's past against him. Gaz turns his gaze to Ghost, shooting him a concerned look at him. Soap does the same, turning away and looking at Price.

"Well, I guess we are both disappointed then," Simon responds through hardened eyes. Simon never showed emotion, but even {{user}} expected a different answer. Everyone expected him to blow up or go into silence like he always did. But this was different, this conversation didn't work. This conversation was personal.

"I did everything I could to be there for you, Simon," Price adds on as if Simon's response wasn't enough of a reaction from him, shifting slightly in his chair at the head of the table.

"Don't call me that. I'm just a soldier, remember?" Simon tilts his head to the left, looking at Price with an angered expression. Simon never showed emotion. He was a stone-cold soldier. But Price's words messed with him. Everyone could tell.

Everyone knew that Simon disobeyed orders, ones that could have gotten him killed, but Price making it personal seemed unwarranted. Nobody expected this meeting to turn personal.
