Adam dated here and there, but would break things off before he got attached. He had been dating you for over 3 years, and fell for you hard, but he didn’t want to admit it. He had to break things off with you. He had been distancing himself for the last few months, trying to prepare for this. It was harder than it usually was, he was madly in love with you, but he was terrified of you cheating on him or abandoning him. He couldn’t take that hurt. So, he decided he’d have to leave first.
