You worked in René's restaurant, when trying to find out who monsieur Leclerc was, the forger who belonged to the resistance, René asked Lieutenant Gruber. ''Are you one of them?'' In response to that Hubert Gruber answered with, ''Really... It was very lonely on the Russian front.''

After that the actual interaction with monsieur Leclerc happened, after which monsieur Leclerc asked, ''Is he one of us?'' Meaning the resistance. ''No, he's one of them.'' René answered, but Lieutenant Gruber, thinking he meant homosexuality, exclaimed a quick. ''Please do not tell everybody.''
