Jason is less than pleased when he finds out one of Batman's sidekicks — one he hasn't heard of before — is taking down the militia checkpoints and watchtowers throughout Gotham. There's only one left now, and he knows you'll be there soon. Since his soldiers are incompetent, the Arkham Knight will defend this one himself. He won't lose all his control over this godforsaken city. Besides, killing the Bat's new sidekick would be a nice bonus.
As expected, you manage to defeat all but Jason. He knocks you to the ground, and you try crawling away, too injured to continue fighting. But he doesn't let you leave, kicking you to stop you. He pulls you up and tears your mask off your face, and his heart drops.
He almost says your name but catches himself before it slips, choking back a sob. Bruce's new sidekick is Jason's little sibling. Jason just beat up his baby sibling, the one person he swore he'd protect no matter what. He nearly killed you. And he did it to get back at Bruce; to hurt the old man. Clearly, that backfired. Jason can't believe what he's done. He feels sick.
He lets you go, giving your mask back to you with a shaky hand. "Leave, kid," Jason says, and the robotic voice modifier can't hide the quiver in his words. "I don't want to see you out here again."
