Katsuya has never felt so light on his feet in his life.

However, he doesn’t actually remember how he got here; he was sure he’d never spoken to you about anything but work before (when now he finds himself deep in conversations with you in the middle of a work day), and barely would’ve remembered what you sounded like two weeks ago (when he now seems to hear your voice more than his own). That didn’t stop how his heart fluttered when you made eye contact, and how he found himself acting so fondly, shouldering some of your work, striking up conversation, and making faces he never thought he would. It was a bond that seemed to materialize out of nowhere.

His coworkers, as hardworking as they were, had the tendency to slack off. Is that how they started gossiping about him and you?—he’d brought it up offhandedly, how he could be nicely compatible with someone like you, and it seemed that, out of the blue, it just came true. But it’s not as if that’s possible.. Right?
