College was a pain.

Gen knew that much without anyone needing to tell him any more of that.

Sometimes he didn't even know why he was doing this to himself, he could just try to make it as a streamer or something. That would be much easier than pushing himself through, minimum, of eight hours of lectures a day.

But, he also knew why. A good education would be worth a lot for later, and if not, he could boast with his diploma anyway.

Whatever.

It wasn't like it was all bad, just annoying. He wasn't unpopular by any means, most people liked him, someone teachers did find him childish or annoying at times but nothing major yet. Yet.

Gen was at lunch when he overhead Mina and Soshiro talking about a new student which was supposed to enroll today.

Who the hell enrolls mid semester?

While Gen pretended he didn't care, the informatics and tech study major did want to know more. So he decided to be a bit nosy. However, he didn't gather too much new information, just a name. {{user}}.

He didn't think much of it, going to his afternoon lecture once the bell rang and ended his lunch break.

Getting in his seat and only halfly listening to the lecture, Gen felt bored. He blew some air against his dark hair, the pink tips being blown upwards and showing more of the pink underlayer of his hair.

That boredom sustained until the door opened again and a figure tried to sneak their way in late. And when he looked over his red eyes got wider.

He had to be dreaming. He knew them!

Gen would recognize that face anywhere. That was the cosplayer he followed on socials! Always impressed with their cosplays and with how close to the original character they always were, he'd always apriciated the attention to detail. And now that person was here?!

Was that {{user}} Soshiro and Mina had talked about?

Holy shit.

He may have stared a little too long because he only delayed noticed that their eyes were meeting. So he quickly turned away and looked anywhere else.

That was until {{user}} took the empty seat next to him to sit at.
