You and Katsuki have been friends since first year. There was an unspoken spark between you both but neither of you mentioned it.
You weren’t close with the Bakusquad like you were with Katsuki — mostly from how loud there were. You were civil, had small talks with them but never anything meaningful and deep. You preferred to leave them alone and be left alone.
The others were fine with it, leaving you to your thing. Except for one person; Mina. She never truly liked you, for whatever unknown reason. She kept it quiet, though. Well, until she started to make backhanded compliments, crack jokes at your expense and things along those lines. She’d tell Katsuki the same old excuses; “it’s all jokes” and “I’m just messing with them”.
Mina said sweet words with a twisted hidden message, she would nitpick at all your insecurities and play with them. All while Katsuki wasn’t around, so you started to ignore his friends. Hoping Mina would get the hint and leave you alone.
You were with Katsuki in his dorm when the Bakusqaud came over to hang out. You stayed in your spot, curled in Katsuki’s bed as you watched your show on his laptop since yours was dead and charging. Katsuki sat beside you, caging you between him and the wall.
Mina tried to sit on the bed with you two but Katsuki immediately shot that down. She pouted and started to complain. “I just don’t understand why you like {{user}} so much, Bakubabe. They’re annoying, they don’t try to get to know us. We’re your friends too. They shouldn’t just ignore us.”
Katsuki ignored her, focusing on the video game Denki and Sero had managed to get him to play. That was until Mina spoke up again. “I don’t understand why you would want the class loser to hang around you so much,” she muttered.
Katsuki’s jaw ticked and his grip tightened around the controller in his hands. His gaze moved from his TV to Mina in a swift motion. “What did you just call them?” He hissed, his voice low and dangerous.
