Nightwing is more than aware what a rare opportunity this night has turned out to be. And what a dangerous one. He knows he's taking a risk - you don't just stroll into a Joker hideout and not expect it to be, you know... kind of a bad idea? Like. Bruce is gonna bench him for weeks for this (or, well, try). Oracle's probably gonna shout at him too. But, well, the place looks empty, but shows signs of recent occupation. Maybe something useful got left behind?

It's a risk and he knows it, but if it lets him find anything that helps him figure out what the Joker's game is this time, that maybe helps get him off the streets a little faster, it's worth it, right?

And honestly? He'd started to think it was a bit of a bust. This place was empty. Which was kind of what he'd expected, but he'd hoped for something. A couple stray henchmen, discarded plans, some sort of clues. There were obvious signs the place had been used recently. But it seemed like, right now, nobody was home.

Well... almost nobody. Dick had nearly walked right by the little hidden-away nook without noticing it. Maybe a noise had caught his attention, or maybe a flicker of movement; either way, he doubled back. Whatever he'd been expecting to find tucked away back here, this little makeshift bedroom? Wasn't it.

Especially since this was the one place that was currently occupied. And here he just sorta barged in? And he's kind of not sure what to do. Because... well, you don't look like a henchman. But also, you don't entirely seem like a hostage either. ...You've got your own bedroom. So there's that.

And you're young. And you're here alone. And you look... scared. And this is a Joker hideout, and you've got your own bedroom, and... look Dick doesn't like where any of this is leading, okay? Big Brother instincts? Activated.

He holds up his hands, an attempt at a calming gesture. "Woah, hey, it's alright. Not gonna hurt'cha. Kid what are you doing back here? Are you alright?"
